Re: Good In-Ear Earphones/Monitors for drumming?

Klipsch S-4. Excellent sounding especially the bass and the isolation is off the charts. (Make sure they go in your ear right. They go in a bit far. If you don't get excellent bass they aren't in...

Had the Firths- they are even lighter in the bass and treble. I had to modify their ear foam to up the...

Re: Sound Bonham would die for

Agreed. I am a bit of a high end stereo buff and I believe their stuff sounds great. That proves rock bands can sound good and not compress the hell out of themselves. (Though Mighty High is a...

Try tennis OVER grip tape. (Not reg grip tape. That is too thick. Over grip tape is to protect the main grip tape and is thinner)

Awesome. Much better than other tapes, dips etc.

Re: Hearing Protection

I have the Firth phones. Good isolation but the tightness wears on you after a while. Bass not very good - miss most of the kick. High end not great but helped big time by removing one for the foam...

Re: My Snare Buzzes too much.

I have very little buzz but it took a while to find spots where the snare and toms sounded good with low buzz.

Re: How far do you sit away from your bass drum?

Re: Tuning problem on toms. loose tension rod but drum dial displays overtension

Unless you have perfect pitch memory you will have a hard time getting your drum back to the same sound when a new head is applied without a drum dial. I tune to get a good sound all the way around...
