Re: Paying for a badge?

I do not know the answer to this question, but I will say that whenever you buy a new snare/kit, always budget for new heads.

Re: Is Tama a Bad Company?

^This right here.

Homeboy didn't write a novel, he made a couple of posts on a message board. Is it grammatically incorrect? Well yeah, it's the internet. And I like most how that's the focus,...

Re: Selling my Yamaha Beech Customs. What should I ask? (pics)

I've seen those go from $500-$1000. I'd aim high, especially with that 8". I've seen 8" recording custom toms in discontinued finishes go for $300+ on their own. If it were me, and I really didn't...

Allegra Big Baby...

I've seen shallow kicks from Allegra and C&C quite a lot lately, I like it. Seem to be quite reasonably priced too, and Allegra drums are quality. Lookie!

Re: Ludwig's new Signet 105 drum line!

If you haven't already, check out C&C's instagram and the like. They too are trying to start a concert tom revival. They have an acrylic kit already rocking.

Re: Yamaha Drums

Ha! I was just going to delete this, as I just heard it on the musician's friend video. Thanks though!

While I'm here...new hex rack!

Re: Ludwig's new Signet 105 drum line!

Saw one in my local GC. Only played around with the 12" but it sounded good, and hardware was solid. The spurs looked really cheap, but didn't feel cheap. Only issue I saw was cosmetic damage on...

Re: DW Design Series

"thinner" than a collectors, if that makes sense. it sounded like a dw...just less beefy. but, I also didn't play around with it too much.

Re: Ludwig's new Signet 105 drum line!

Well it's a good thing we can have differences of opinion then!
I'm all for progress, but if you stray too far from your norm, it's a risk. I hope it works for them.

Re: Ludwig's new Signet 105 drum line!

See, I get that. But , at the same time, it's not a Ludwig kit, not really anyway. As a purely outsiders perspective, a ludwig kit has a pedigree...these do not.

On another note, why not regular...

Re: DW Design Series

They've had a kit at my GC for a few months now. Either Asian assembled, or US assembled Asian parts, I don't remember.

Re: DW Designer Series

Saw one in GC the other day. Don't like those mini lugs at all, bugged the crap outta me. Sounded like a dw.

Re: Considering a Yamaha Oak Custom set - Tell me everything you know...

Do eet!
I got mine a few months ago, and I love em. Granted, I still am favoring the sound of my maple kit, but the oaks do sound great. Actually, as of a few days ago the guitar center in...

Re: This seems a little high?

Depends if someone is willing to pay it. Yamaha only offered the blue sparkle on the 24", as far as I know (which isn't a ton), the only way you're getting an oak custom 24" kick, is in a blue...

Re: Ridiculous drum prices

Ha! That's nuts, especially since the guys at Allegra will wrap your drums for the cost of the rap, plus $50 (ish) for labor. I asked Dave to rewrap an old yamaha kit I had, didn't go through with...

Re: Yamaha Drums

Nice! I have been after a set of beech custom/absolutes for years, and every time one shows up locally, some one flakes, or someone buys it from under me.
