Re: List you favorite drumming album.

Actually, I'm not going to mention metal albums like I normally do, instead it's back to what inspired me as a kid:

Fragile - Yes
Dream of The Blue Turtles - Sting
Metal Fatigue - Holdsworth...

Re: Y'all ever seen this dude?

Look how much fun this kid is having in this video! Super impressive. My hat's off to him and I hope others can have the same supportive attitude, well that's what I'm used to with my drummer buddies...

Re: Custom Graphic Bass Drum Heads

I'd go with DrumArt. Jim did the heads for my previous band and they were perfect and lasted for years. With my current band, I tried Inked By Evans and after 8 months, the head exploded (yeah you...

Right now, I prefer to use less tech. When I just recorded with my band (Metal)...

Re: No tom setup

While recording the album with band recently (metal), we decided to add one more song and I realized that I don't do any fills on this song. It's double kick all the way through with patterns, a...

Re: Metal drum mixes without triggers or sound replacement

Just remembered - ALL Meshuggah albums are trigger-free. Tomas only uses triggers live to compensate for really fast patterns like in Bleed and to keep the kick sound consistent (he's also sustained...

Re: Metal drum mixes without triggers or sound replacement

I'm pretty sure the older (and newer) Overkill albums don't use triggers. I also remember from interviews/footage that Chris Adler doesn't use triggers - "As The Palaces Burn" does not have triggers....

Get the Saturn V's in the Rock series 9x12, 16x16, 18x22. I just made the move and couldn't be more satisfied. This kit is really made for anything but the deeper toms work better for the music I...

Can someone confirm if the maple used in these drums is North American? I didn't see mention of it in the ads. What about the cherry?

Re: Dave Grohl and RUSH article.
