Re: Sonor Snare Drums Video - SQ2, Phonic Reissue and One of a Kind

8 perfect snare drums. One as good as the other. Thx for the demo, it shows just how musical the drums are.
Maybe add a couple of vintage snare drums to the next demo. I would find that very...

Re: Steve Maxwell purchases Fork's Drum Closet

Steve will make a huge difference there. He is very understanding of drummers needs, and its like talking to an encyclopedia on drums. He knows his stuff, and he,s purged a few of the dead weight so...

Y&T Drums from Indonesia

Be very aware of this outfit if you are thinking of making a purchase. I paid 300 US for a shell and within months it turned egg shape, so I asked for a replacement, nothing more.
He refuses to do...

Re: Sorry Neil......Ringo and Paul has much more "feel" than you

Most drummers Pearts age, 50+, grew up listening to blues, soul, R&B, ETC, but Neil skipped that and went right into rock music. Good break for him, he made his fortune that way.

You can hear it...

Re: Does anybody remember Jeff Indyke?

When I first saw Indyke years ago, I honestly thought it was a comedy routine..like Jerry Lewis trying to be serious. It was a while before I heard he was serious, but he was responsible for me...

Re: Is this a Trick throw off or Dunnett roto?

You should have the Trick throw. Its a pro unit while the Dunett is an entry level, heavy, bulky, cheaply made unit for lesser quality snare drums. It has its purpose but not on a pro drum. Ask for a...

Re: Memphis Drum Shop- Is it me, or is this drum shop snare demo really unkind to the drum?

Those drums sound exactly like the new Barton Drums that have recently surfaced that are made in China somewhere. They offer maple, beech, and likely the same walnut as these...These are way over...

Re: A&F Drums @ NAMM - uh oh ?

That video is MUCH better and the drums sound very clear. Not convinced its better than a vintage Sonor kit but, they are quite unique.

I,d find a way to erase that other video though, it wont...

Re: A&F Drums @ NAMM - uh oh ?

Perhaps; I'm sure there are those that like the FU attitude and break the rules. I see it in a few other operations. People are there to talk business and concentrate. Tough to do when you have wanna...

Re: A&F Drums @ NAMM - uh oh ?

Sorry..."volume of people?" wouldn't that be up to security to clear the isles and keep the customers safe?

Re: A&F Drums @ NAMM - uh oh ?

I'm sure they were warned 2 or 3 times, which is pretty standard. If they ignored the warnings then they should be banned for a year so that perhaps their arrogance and lack of respect can be worked...

Re: Premier badge...60,s HI-FI

I have discovered that the Hi-Fi label is on toms and bass drums but not many. Seems its all about using up old inventory, like a lot of them did back in...

Re: Why does Mapex pic the worst people to Promote a new Snare

Personally, I enjoyed the whole thing. I enjoyed the rough edges, it gave it a "human factor". What, we supposed to be pro actors now, spokesmen, salesmen, etc?..I think drummers are the one group of...
