LOL your right if I can't do both at the same time they suck. How many times do you adjust your BD spurs don't remember having to do much when I did gig it may have been awhile ago but not that long....

Lol I would put yamaha old school BD spurs on anything I love them just so well made. My rock tours have a different one not sure if it's the same as the stage customs or not but if it is I do like...

It's was the weight of the drum overall that made me think the might me made different just felt to light to be the same good to know there all made of the same thing just how much of a mix might...

From what I remember reading it was the inside ply that was mahogany on Club Customs but like I said it's all from memory.

Sweet kit enjoy them. Is the mahogany on the inside ply or outside on this kit? They look like Stage Custom lugs with a Rock Tour Custom shell (mahogany on outside ply) and painted inside the shell...

ABSOLUTE STYLE lugs that's the key I don't think there made of the same stuff just a look alike I may be wrong though I would need a compare them side to side. I think the smaller sizes also give...

They just felt cheap I have owed 3 different Yamaha kits and played many versions of stage customs and I can't speak for how they sound I didn't play them but in my hands . They felt like a $600...

Got my hands on a set of the new stage customs not at all impressed there the cheapest version yet IMO. The vent hole put me over the edge looks like I could connect my cable tv wire to it WTF.

I hope it's new recording customs with lugs like the new marching bass drums they look sweet IMO and don't touch the center of the shell they have a curved gap. If you voom in you can see the lugs...

Go used I'll take a few scratches on better drums any day over cheaper ones. If new is a must have Stage Customs all the way 2014 model has thicker shells and better hardware then ever before.

I get you might not want to when spurs are in the way it's one opinion how they want it cut. I would just think the person cutting it would tell you what would happen and not let it be a surprise....
