Re: Sonor Designer or DW Collectors?

Re: Sonor Designer or DW Collectors?

Did I say that Sonor invented it? No. Premier has been doing it that way forever too.

As for DW, I've played many, many DW kits, and they all sounded HORRIBLE, without exception. I wouldn't take a...

Re: Sonor Designer or DW Collectors?

Nothing will compare to Sonor's quality. Their construction is also unique, in that they create their shells a tiny bit smaller in diameter so that heads are seated better, and this results in...

Re: New - official Guru In-Tense video starring David Floegel!

Very cool! I love the three 10" tom concept. :)

Now, how about a 9", 11", and 13" tom, with 15" and 17" floor toms? And, a 21" bass drum. Just because.

Re: Cover version permission for a CD - anyone in the UK done it?

You need to purchase mechanical licenses from the publishers of the music.

Re: Would you uproot to go where the music is?

Before you decide to relocate, look into all the immigration laws. It's not very easy to just move to a new country and get work. It can be either expensive, a lengthy process, both, or impossible.

Re: Drum Quote...

The retailer should know what discount off of MSRP they can give, but maybe Tama has just recently updated their prices and they want to be sure?

Re: What's the best pedal technique study?

Terry Bozzio and Simon Phillips have been known to suggest practicing with the heel down, and at slow tempos. Do this long enough, and you develop the control necessary for solid playing at louder...

Re: Pro Ludwig, Anti Guitar Center

It may not be the norm to you, but in the age of the Internet it most definitely is. AND, most manufacturers or head-offices APPRECIATE it when customers contact them with their issues.

As for...

Re: Pro Ludwig, Anti Guitar Center

I have been disappointed with Guitar Center pretty much 90% of the time. Useless, uninformed, poorly trained employees who never keep their promises and can't deliver on the most trivial of requests....

Re: Why so many plies?

They do? I beg to differ. Many factors go into how a drum sound. The shell is part of it, but only a part. And one specific construction style isn't necessarily better than another. That's just silly.

Re: What do you think about Casey Cooper (COOP3RDRUMM3R)

That's the problem. You are spending so much time creating videos that you have no time to work on the craft of actually playing the drums. Why does everyone feel the need to deluge the Internet with...
