My vote... Save up a good 700$ and look at Gretsch. My brother has a 6 piece catalina Maple he got for $650. Still looks amayzing and sounds just as great. Gretsch really knows whats up.

Claim... people have had single toms mounted on the bassdrum ever since the drum set has been around. Dave Grohl has made a ton of things popular like the drummer turned singer/songwriter/guitarist....

i tend to do this to i think its because it takes weight of your feet and makes you feel like your floating over the pedals however its a pad habbit and limits your controll dont do it.
