Re: How to avoid the snare from making a noise as I play Toms/Bass?

I think that's the best comment.. Thanks, got it.
The buzz was first kinda strong, but I tuned my snare a bit differently and it's now just a little buzz.

How to avoid the snare from making a noise as I play Toms/Bass?

Hi.
Every time I hit a Tom, Bass or even play music on my PC, the snare makes a little noise, as if hit gently. How do I avoid that?

Re: About to buy a Tama Imperialstar compact, anything better?

I can't buy a used set for a complicated reason. The only used set that I can buy is if there's any used sets at stores. More suggestions?

BTW it's fine if there's a store in NJ as well.

About to buy a Tama Imperialstar compact, anything better?

Hi, I'm going to buy drums at around 500-600$ and probably will get the Tama Imperialstar compact (with an 18" bass drum). Is there any better set at around this price, for a beginner - intermediate?...

Re: Beginners set at up to 600$

Found a Tama Rockstar at around 760 bucks, again, all included. The problem is that the drums' color is pretty ugly lol, but if it's worth it I may consider these as well. Anyways, I've got only 5...

Re: Beginners set at up to 600$

Found one interesting deal: A Mapex v-5 with everything included (5 pieces + crash + ride + hi hat by Ziljian (planet z) + a chair + hardware), all for around 480 bucks. Sounds like an unbelievable...

Re: Beginners set at up to 600$

I think that's true, but there's another detail: If I choose to buy a used product, I wouldn't be able to see it before I buy it, as I don't live in the states but come there only for a 2 week...

Re: Beginners set at up to 600$

I don't really like buying used items (generally), and I don't really think I should get a used set since I know nothing about drums, and something might be wrong with the set I buy without me even...

Re: Beginners set at up to 600$

I think I'd buy a set of Tama's / Mapex's / Gretsch's at around 600$ (shell), or 800$ with hardware included. Does that make sense?

BTW have anyone played on the Basix Oxygen / Neon / Xenon? If...

Beginners set at up to 600$

Hi, I'm looking for my first set at around 600$. Will be purchased at Guitar Center, NYC.
I'm actually not really a beginner but more like a beginner-intermedian. If 10 is an expert and 1 is someone...

Re: Hello, looking for a set for an intermedian

I know it's a bummer.. But I don't think I really need a set made of maple, isn't it for professional drum kits? If I had a budget of 2000 bucks doesn't mean I should have used it all I guess..

Re: Hello, looking for a set for an intermedian

Hello, looking for a set for an intermedian

Hi there, I'm playing drums for around 8 months (an hour every week), and I still haven't got a set. I've got no particular budget, but I know I need something for an intermedian, like the Basix Xenon...
