I HATE playing along to click tracks while recording. it makes the song sound robotic. I like the songs to be able to breathe and feel natural, like a live show.

maybe the guitar player does too.

where I live, it's payment enough just to be given a chance to play a show for maybe 20 people with 4 to 6 other bands on the bill and each band gets a 30 minute set each. my local...

I don't know about 40 years old though... probably less... maybe it's from the 1970's? I'm no historian either, but that's my guess.

tried taking the resonant heads off the toms on my new kit today... they sounded great!

also... is removing the lugs on the resonant side a good idea or not? will I be able to get them back on...
