Correct, I didn't have this problem with cheapo sticks. I will try using less pressure (after I heal up and see how that works. Thank you.

I've been playing for around 5 years. Not so much over 1 1/2 of the 5. I am noticing that I am starting to get blisters foe some reason. I was using really cheap stick, by 15 pairs for around 30...

Here is a finished one!!!! One week. 1 pint of black. 1 gallon of clear coat. A lot of sanding. Pleased with it for the most part. I didn't build the clear up enough so my grain comes through...

Stupid question, did this effect the tone of the drums at all? Very interested in trying this. I am just concerned about all the layers of clear coat that will need to be applied.
