Re: Great drummers - quotes

A really ludicrous statement from Jeff Porcaro:
"My time sucks."

If that was true my metronone also has really bad time.

Re: Drums that make the song

Rosanna, Mushanga and Hold the Line by Toto with Jeff Porcaro creating awesomeness.
Calling Elvis by the Dire Straits is another track where Jeff is making the song happen.

Re: Brian Blade or Dave Weckl?

Re: Who is the most well balanced drummer, in your opinion?

Vinnie Colaiuta can do a record with Faith Hill one day, a session with Megadeth the day after and then go on tour with some crazy jazz fusion stuff. You simply dont get any more balanced than that.

Jeff Porcaro at 1.10: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GspOC33xTxw

Jeff had some really nice signature fills. This is one of them.

Re: This makes me want to cry, and practice harder.

Who cares if he doesn`t like jazz? I REALLY dislike black metal drumming. We all have our likes and dislikes.

Extrodinary drummer bassist relationships

I`m sorry if this subject already has been a thread on this forum.

Here is one example of a cooperation between bass and drums that really makes the song happen.

Re: Drummer at the right gig?
