I agree with these guys - I have an old six lug Ludwig snare and yep, those are the issues. It's still fun to have around, though.

I'll flip this around and say, out of all the house kits I've played on (most did suck), the best was at the Grape Street Pub in Philly (before it became the Grape Street, and then the Grape Room)....
