Yeah, although Luke Holland is doing all this whilst covering a song, whereas Jimmy is playing something that he's planned out and is meant to be with stick tricks. The first link I sent at 50...

A few stick tricks I'd love to learn/know how they're done.

Okay, so a drummer called Luke Holland is insane when it comes to stick tricks. I've not seen anything like it. I'm sure someone here has probably seen better, but here are a couple examples:

Re: Stick spinning

Ah, thanks, that's just what I needed, I'll try learn this over the holidays or whenever I have spare time. I have a drumstick in my room, it's just broken at the tip a tiny bit, so not usable, but,...

What would be a good way to do covers? No money to buy mics or equipment.

Okay, so I know a few songs that I want to put up and see what people think, but I can't afford mics or generally good equipment. Could anyone recommend a good way to record stuff cheaply and so it's...

Re: me drumming please watch

When watching the second video you seemed to hit both pedals at the same time a few times. You may want to work on that.

Re: The Big Kits vs. Small Kits Debate

I knew that seeing this thread you would have posted this somewhere, you and your massive kits.

Re: How do people get such big kits?

It's the mini arm I believe, it's snapped where you can move it higher or lower.

Re: Things you hate to have happen while drumming

Losing a stick, when moving it in a way that it gets caught either below a cymbal or caught on the side of a drum and just goes flying somewhere.

Re: How do people get such big kits?

I'm down in Somerset in the South-West of England, sorry about the late reply, but if you really mean about sending me some drum heads than that'd be amazing and I'd be extremely grateful, would...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

Most the people in my family can't get jobs where we live, my sister's only just got a job, my mum is looking for one, one of my brothers has been looking for about a year, it's incredibly difficult...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

I do use the internet to learn, I'm just saying that most of the songs I cover or try to cover will have that extra ride that's flat and gives a quickish hi-hat type sound, I don't know how to...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

I know but with my ride cymbal it's got a broken stand, so it crashes all the time no matter what, I'm trying to replace that with a china and move that in between the floor tom and the 2nd tom so...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

Yeah, let's be honest though, 1 cymbal and maybe an extra drum wouldn't be much would it?

Re: How do people get such big kits?

If any of you guys need stuff doing over the internet, I'd be willing, if it's a sensible pay, not that there is much, but if had something I could do then that could help me :)

Re: How do people get such big kits?

I've been told I can play drums really well by quite a few people, despite the fact I've only been playing for about half a year. I'm only looking for an upgrade as the songs I try to learn have...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

[QUOTE=Pocket-full-of-gold;944500]New heads and ditching the AVH inspired gaffer tape will do wonders for the sound of your drums. A cheap way to get a good sound that will tide you over until you...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

I so wish I could, but the tom holders are useless now so they just move about freely when they're fully tightened, and I have no space for the snare so I have to have it at that angle to fit...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

I didn't tape them, it was my brother when he had it, the heads haven't been changed for probably about 2 years, I can't afford any at the moment, and I never really thought I needed them until I...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

Well, I've only got one picture of my kit, that's when I was playing it, the skins are pretty horrible and the cymbal stand closest to the camera is broken.

Re: How do people get such big kits?

At the moment I'm doing work on the internet earning about 20ish a month, but I have to pay about 30 a month to get to where I practice in a band, maybe if the band were to play some gigs I could...

Re: How do people get such big kits?

I wish I could do that, but I'm on a massive main road, so there's tonnes of traffic but no one ever really stops for something like that, there is a farm opposite my house, but I know the person...
