For my DW collectors use a combo of bags & cases, bag inside case... Protection Rkt bags and Hardcase cases. They ve protected my investment for the best part of 15 years, including rainy/ frosty...

I play out with my 1970 Gretsch and either of my vintage snares, a 1952 Slingy or my 1958 Ludwig trans badge. They all sound great, and I'm usually playing older tunes with them, so it sounds like it...

It sounds fat with quite a lot of overtones. As in the pictures I fitted a Fyberskin 3 top head to start, but I think it may've been a little heavy for the shell, so i put a coated...

Take a trip to www.vintagedrumforum.com, they helped me a lot with my transition badge 1959 snare... I paid $50 for it at a flea market in Florida...

I ordered a collectors kit way back in '96 & ebony stain was one of my choices then... go for the black hardware with it... looks awesome!!

I think I'll take your advice & see what it sounds like... resurrection drums want the drum complete anyway if I do decided to send it for edges, so its a no loser really. Going crazy...
