Good luck! Half of my band just left to head off to Glasgow as well! A few compete in the LA Scots, and the other few in 78th Frasiers. I wish you all the best of luck out there!

2014 Chicago Drum Show, who's going?

I tried to find the existing thread about this years Chicago Drum Show, but obviously wasn't successful. I was wondering who all is going to be there from DW?

I have use audimute products in the past with great success. I use their sound absorption blankets to cover about 75% of the drywall in my drum room. You can sort of tune the room with the blankets...

I think it's the angle that I took the picture, because I still haven't gotten around to buying the dowel rods to fill the holes. Not one person has said anything about the holes when I gig the kit,...

A little update on the drum...
After playing on it for a few months, I couldn't be happier with the results. I get a super punchy tone, with great projection. I have the EMAD2 tuned just above...

I also upgraded a few things, changed the strainer to a Trick GS007(black) and added tight screws(black). That made a nice difference in the overall appearance and function of the drum. Current head...

Thanks for the kind words! We did have a lot of fun working together, brought me back to when I was a kid, messing around in his shop. Good fun though...

Thanks, this way I didn't have to re-drill holes for the spurs. The tom mount was also located closer to the reso head, so now its pretty much dead center.

This is my first thread on Drummerworld, although I've been soaking up all the info for a few months now.

I have a Yamaha Stage Custom kit that had a 20x17 kick, and never got it to sound the way...
