the stage custom birch sounded great, someone was trying one out at the drum shop last week and i was surprised at how great it sounded for the 650 dollar price tag.

thanks for the info, you superstar is beautiful!! the time and work you put into the resto really shows. mine look almost as bad as your before photos. this is my second superstar kit. i sold my 83...

i would agree 100% with you guys if it was a clean kit. but it's not. scratches some are small but a few are really bad and noticeable from a distance. i might do a full restoration in the future but...
