I think alot of these are good choices. YYZ is anything but basic however. Definitley not the hardest song but its no standard unless you have a great deal of experience under your belt.

I'd say for the price, probably gretsch renown. Pearl is on the opposite end of the spectrum. I'd consider the pearl masters and reference to be just as good as a gretsch renown, but way more...
