Re: A LITTLE MORE NOISE Peart, Carey, Stone, Scannell & Copeland at the Sacred Grove

Yea, watched this earlier today. Loved it. The Stewart Copeland thing is very reminiscent of the excellent Live from Daryl's House (http://www.livefromdarylshouse.com/)

Re: Is Don Henley relevant here?

Agree with all the sentiments here. He did what needed to be done for the song. And that makes him a great drummer.

Watched extra's on the Bad Co.: Merchants of Cool DVD. Simon Kirke is considered...

Re: Meytal Cohen? She plays, right?

Exactly. I'm not a fan at all of the most of the music she's into. That's not a comment on her or her abilities. Just that genre of music.

Re: Meytal Cohen? She plays, right?

What I get out watching Meytal are some of things some folks are crapping on. Her effortless playing inspired me to play differently than I have. Many times learning a new song, I am playing way more...

Agree with many here. Getting an E-kit is an excellent option to enhance skills and practice time. You cannot go wrong.

There's always the option of a Hybrid kit. I know, I know, they still have...

Re: Why do listeners move on as they get older?

I do.

My tastes have evolved... or maybe matured. For me, it's the massive amount of repetition over the years. I'm just tired of hearing this stuff over and over again. I've maintained my fav's...

Re: Still having a blast playing at 60; I am even more absorbed now..

Jose, thanks for the continued inspiration. I look for things like this to keep me real.

I'm 56 and often think what I'll be doing at 60, 65, 70. I fully intend to have music as my major hobby.

Re: What's your take on electronic drum sets?

I disagree with most of those ragging on the E-kit. I had zero problems adapting, if you can even call it that, to the E-kit. It performs very nicely.

I got into E-Kits (Roland TD-15) 2 years ago...
