Re: Pain in lower back and root of legs

Yes, it definitely sounds like sciatica. Take care of it by strengthening your core (all those muscles that surround your vital organs), and always remember to sit up straight with the correct...

Re: Can't figure this out for the life of me!!!

To me (and I'm no expert in this genre!!) it sounds like the bass drum is playing note-for-note what the snare is playing in those intermittent parts.

That's my guess, anyway.

Re: My 1st drum kit - PDP CX Series. Advice for an old newbie??

Welcome! The only advice I have is to take the stickers off the shells - you don't want to advertise that you're a newbie! ;-)

I love that color, BTW.

I thought that all you SoCal drummers lived in the same neighborhood and just knew each other automatically. ;-)

Re: Ludwig Snare Find....worth anything?

With the weird badge placement and the goofy re-rings on the bottom, it looks like a 14" floor tom that was cut down.

Re: Please share me some of your wisdom 2 cents

When it rains it pours, right?

You're in a tough situation with some hard decisions to make. Me, personally, I would go to Centre C and notify my Centre A students of where I am now.

Tell...

Re: Left handed question

I think that some people are just more dominant with their left-handed extremities than others... this just makes us more unique.

Your turn with the pics, now. :-)

Re: Left handed question

Yes, my kit is set-up left-handed.

Hi-hat, snare on the right & floor tom to the left.

Here's some pictures:

Re: Left handed question

I'm assuming that you talking about being a left-handed player and playing a kit that's set up right-handed, correct?

If this is true, and you're not comfortable playing on a right-handed kit,...

Re: Finally got me an Acrolite !!

This is a very nice looking drum - especially for one that's 50 years-old.

Nice score!

Re: New Ludwig Snare

The drum seems to have a decent price-point at $299. The color(s) are very nice, but it looks a little like desert camouflage.

Nothing quite like going from point A to Point J to Point Q to Point B to Point W to Point....

They must have booked this tour online. Next time, they should use a travel agent. ;-)
