Interesting and informative. I remember years ago Vic firth used to advertise line of their sticks as rock maple not sure if they still do. Now I know what they were referring to.

This is a good primer on how to approach playing the cymbals on the kit. Something that may often be overlooked in the development of drumset technique for the younger player....

To replace your kit in case of complete loss I'd say that should cover it. Don't forget to add up your cymbals and hardware along with it. It' surprising how fast it all adds up when you think about...

Restoring a vintage a drum?

This guy can take a sad and sorry looking 70 year old snare drum and make it look almost newly bought.
If I ever come across a derelict drum I might just send it to him to do the refurb. job...

He piqued my interest about his buying a recent production LM402 and "replacing it with lighter 1.6mm hoops".
I may go find a batter and swap it out to see how it opens the drum up.
