Great drums, and with no lacquer (only a protective coating) a great tone too.

Get them, especially when they come with original Yamaha cases. You can go on for another 30+ years.

Omg those look awesome. Have a 60's 12/12/16/20 myself in the same finish structure only in a white-ish color.

Took a long time to restore. But it kicks butt!

Ive been waiting for years to get a Red Oak kit with 8, 10, 14ft, 16ft and 22.

I just bought the 10, 14, 22, found a seller who wanted to sell his 16ft and Yamaha had a 8x7...

Its the kit of one of Yamaha's dutch Endorsees Jimmy vd Nieuwenhuizen. He's endorsed by Evans too, so probably a custom order or a d.i.y. (just a white Evans head with added Yamaha decal)

There are plenty of reasons, some products are only being made as a prototype and never see production status. The PHX snare is such a case.

If its a rental kit I always bring my own pedal. I think the majority does this too and thus they made the adjustment screws drumkey ready.

It also prevents unwanted slippary and damaging shell...

Not only ordered a rare black Groove Wedge for my Phoenix snare, but a friend popped up with a NOS last Red Oak 8x7 from the factory to complete my rig.

Ahh thanks man, my goal was reached, inspiring other drummers (you and a lot of other artists) and techs (Brent, Nissim) to come up with new ideas.

The Hex 1 will come back too btw, in a 2.0 form...

22x17, 10x7 and 14x14 and 16x16 floor toms.

Typo. The biggest Oak depth size made is 20'' and only in White and Black sparkle and only in Europe (Oak X)
