Re: All this talk of Trip-lets has got me thinking..

Ahem, actually the notes which fall exactly in the middle between sixteenth notes are 32nd notes, by definition.

In fact, if you count one-trip-let, the 8th note (the 'and' of 1) falls exactly...

Re: Drummer for Joan Armatrading

Hi, that's apparently from the german TV series Rockpalast.

It appears she's been there several times.
Here's a show from 1980:...

Re: Myth - playing fast and 'fast twitch' muscles

What seems to me counterevidence against your theory is that to the best of my knowledge slow twitch fibers take their energy from oxygen.

Now would you think of drumming (or 'speed drumming') as...

Re: Relationship between tempo and time signatures

It's just correct, also practically ;)

Rrreeeally??? If I use Stick Control, (which is a laaarge fraction of my time spent with a metronome), I put the click on half notes. I think anyone in...

Re: Dream Theater's new drummer

It starts to be fun. Before the last call for predictions goes out, I'll give it one shot:
my money is on Priester.

Eventually the prodigal son has to return, and starting from this assumption,...

Re: Good free software based metronome?

Here's a nice online metronome, where you can choose number of beats per bar, and number of silent bars:

Re: On recommending open-handed to -new- players

Besides being more natural (for obvious reasons of coordination pointed out above),
I always found that the standard, "crossed" way of playing is also an intelligent use of the third spacial...

Re: Quick question about Future Sounds

I think this is simply a typo. In my version the blurb above (not below) permutation
study #4 appears to belong to #5, and vice versa.
Anyways the text seems quite redundant.

Re: Looking good while playing drums

Oh nooo, I reaally liked that song back then. You didn't have to do that.
And your DEVO guys hopping after 3:45 are supposed to be cool???

I'm barely recovering from episodes 2&3. Hey Tacoma....

Re: Sonor Safari

Supposedly they are products of Sonor USA unavailable in Europe.
From the pics and discussion above, they may well be Force 1007 drums
- so much about them being European.

I would buy one too,...

Re: Wilcoxon All American Drummer

It seems you essentially resolved most of issues here.

Being buffled myself that my first beautiful, mathematically correct ;) solution was so wrong, I tried to inform myself better.

Edit: 3rd line...
