yeah, i wasn't talking about the tempo (i actually don't mind fluctation in tempo, i think it can add something to the song if done properly). i'm purely referring to the 16th note double kick...

thanks for your replies. unfortunately, i don't have a recording. regarding the time signature, it's actually 3/4 all the way through i.e. 8 bars of 3/4 rather than 4 bars of 3/4 and 3 bars of 4/4....

i've got a mapex saturn kit but there's one really annoying problem with my setup. the tom mounts which sit on the bass drum only allow you to move the drums up and down. you cannot push/pull them...

tbh, i'm not sure. when i bought them i noticed a couple of screws missing. as soon as i mentioned that online i was warned about the dreaded naff lugs problem on the old blx/mlx, and if i google it...

it's definitely not related to the floor as this is happening at every venue :)

what do you mean by "unlevel pedal plate"? it all looks more or less square to the human eye
