Re: Really small gigs - setups

I've just tried to get used to as small of a 5piece footprint as possible--keeping stands tucked in tight with close cymbal arrangement and use rods for quieter venues. A small acoustic/electric mix...

Re: Neil Peart

Here is a fantastic interview! Check out the Sirius radio interview and click the "available online" link. Neil is very upbeat. When you say he would make a good friend NJ, imagine how interesting...

Re: Rare footage of Simon Phillips' instructional video!

Monster fills...I liked the one that started at about 1:31 with the double kick/tom fill. That had a great rolling feel to it. Thanks for posting!

Re: new vid is up! "one handed rolls"

Nice job! Another great technique breakdown. This is what makes DW so great! Thanks.

Re: THE GOOD SNARE THREAD

Anyone have a Pearl Export ELX 14 x 5" snare? I'm pretty sure they are common but I saw one at the shop today for about $130 and sounded pretty good...nice pop and better than the limited selection...

Re: favorite songs to play along with

And if you want what I consider one of the best downright pure rock and roll songs ever created, I would have to go with AC/DC's Ain't Waitin 'Round to be a Millionaire. It's a simple song but man...

Re: THE GOOD SNARE THREAD

Re: THE GOOD SNARE THREAD

Thinshells, or anyone else who knows,

Sort of an arbitrary inquiry here, but figured this thread would be appropriate. I've always loved the sound of Chris Layton's snare (Stevie Ray Vaughn)...in...
