Play my Yamaha Oak Customs when gigging and a Tama Swingstar kit at church every Sunday...in the acoustics of the big church sanctuary and with the sound system in the church the Swingstars sound...

Play behind them, play without them...really not that big a deal depending on the venue. Then again playing behind clear plastic shields is a lot better protection from bar fights than chicken wire...

90% of the time our sets are 50 minutes with 10 to 15 minute breaks. Much more than that seems to be hard on vocalists especially.

Play every week on a Tama Swingstar 4 piece, Zildjian A Custom Box set and my Yamaha Anton Fig snare. The Tama actually performs very well as the church kit, sturdy, sounds good and is dependable.
