Re: 6.5" deep acrolite

I don't know this to be fact but the Blacros are probably out of production. I suspect they were selling of remaining stock. 6.5 Classic reissues are still available.

Re: Dry heads for ludwig blackrolite acrolite snare?

Re: Dry heads for ludwig blackrolite acrolite snare?

I have had both a 70's Acro and a 2000s Blacro. The Blacro is considerably drier. The Acros have more high overtones.....or at least,in my experience.

Re: Dry heads for ludwig blackrolite acrolite snare?

Blacros are drier than older Acros or the Classic Reissues. You aren't going to find a drier metal drum.

Re: It Happened Again!!

These are just quickies and he is trying to learn some basics. He never even thought about it. He was just cleaning up everything he saw on the screen. Ghost notes never even crossed his mind. :)

Re: It Happened Again!!

It happens when he tries to clean up any bleed over on tracks. He isn't doing it intentionally. Just staring at the screen and thinks it is cymbal bleed or something. It's just a demo but it's...

Re: Carmine Appice Lobbies For Led Zeppelin Drum Spot

That band can play "Black Dog". The same guys do all those events. They also gig as a tribute band. That song is easy but a couple of spots can be tricky, if everyone isn't on the same page. Almost...

Re: Heavy music, where did the ride go?

Lots of extreme drummers have 2 rides in their setup.Mostly mega/power bells,Gene Hoglan style.

Re: Who uses Moongel?

I am not anti-moongel but the one time I did buy it,they were totally melted together. I use as little muffling as I can get away with. I just use gaff tape. Every band should have some on hand.

Re: Great car for a drummer

I am glad to hear this. My '96 Nissan pickup is getting tired, I've got 26" kick and I have been looking for an affordable option.

Re: How long do I have to wait?

In 2011,I ordered a 14/16/26 in Red Sparkle CM. The estimate was 3 months. It showed up in 3 WEEKS. Several months later,I ordered an 18" floor tom. The estimate was 3 months and it arrived in 2...

Re: When soundmen attack

I play original shows. There are usually 3-5 bands on the bill. The soundguy doesn't really want to change anything. He just wants to move the mics from kit to kit. I tune kind of old school.I play ...
