Re: How to play in the studio.

I've seen both sides of the fence, and I guess the phrase that I find applies to me the most is "Stay inside yourself". I think I heard that one from Billy Ward.

I think especially in the studio,...

Re: Partial Dogac Titiz Transcription

Lutz, you floored me with your epic Jojo transcription.

To quote the great Rufio:

"You are the Pan."

And yes, you're spot on with Sibelius and my choice of notehead. The thing is, I often...

Re: 10s of thousands of beats to try

I'd like some kind of notes as to what the thought is behind each transcription. A large amount of it seemed very similar.

Don't get me wrong, I love the website. Great job for contributing to the...

Epic Gavin Harrison Transcription

I painstakingly transcribed all 125 bars of this absolute monster performance by Gavin. There are some really interesting ideas that he played, like dragging his sticks down the toms, and rolling on...

VIDEO LESSON: Tony Williams Lick

Hey,

Another simple lick, this one made popular by the late Tony Williams. I found it in a book I have about Dennis Chambers, called Serious Moves. It'd be cool to see other people try it and...

VIDEO LESSON: A simple paradiddle lick

Re: Can you play EVERYTHING you can mouth or tap?

Re: Baiaosticks Stick Trick

Hey guys, thanks for watching.

The china I'm using in that video is a broken 22" Wuhan. There are quite a few large chunks missing from the cymbal, but it still sounds fantastic. I didn't break...
