Re: Double Snare Day

When I checked mine I didn't take the bottom head off so didn't see them. I do get more buzz then on any of my other snares but I really love the sound of the drum. It is amazing for the price.

Re: A Badge Stix Would be Proud Of

Looks like the sign at hotel in Wildwood I have stayed at (or almost any in Wildwood). Anyone from Philly/NJ/NY will know what I mean. I think it is called the StarLux. The whole town is 50's doo-wop.

I'm still laughing thinking about the idea of seeing Hitler in cat make-up! The kiss cover band reference was my favorite.

Re: Is this a vintage 6.5" X 14" Ludwig Acrolite?

Looks like the edges and inside still has chrome so I believe everyone thinking this was a LM402 with exterior chrome stripped is correct

Re: Drummerworld inventors

I often though about doing a proto-type snare rim that transfers a 2.3 hoop into a die cast. slips over top and tightens down with a drum key and can be removed for the next song in a few seconds.

Re: Am I a freak for not liking virgin bass drums?

I prefer bass mounted toms. There is a video of Will Stokes playing a set of Mapex meridians with virgin Kick and the toms are bouncing up and down like something I recall from an old Baywatch...
