Re: D'Angelo - Black Messiah

Been listening to D'angelo for some years, because of Chris Dave. Really dig the dilla beats.

Re: A new drumming hero emerges!

Re: Playing for the song, but still leaving a bit of "yourself" on the track.

Re: Playing for the song, but still leaving a bit of "yourself" on the track.

1:35 is a weird sounding crash

Re: Playing for the song, but still leaving a bit of "yourself" on the track.

Thanks, but I'm sometimes doubting my choices when I'm recording and I need outside input.

Re: Playing for the song, but still leaving a bit of "yourself" on the track.

Well, if you want to be someone who sounds like everyone else, that's your choice. As for me, being successful isn't the main reason I play drums and do music, and I think that money and fame is a...

Playing for the song, but still leaving a bit of "yourself" on the track.

A bit of a thought that has been going through my head recently when recording drums to music.

When recording for a track, the most important thing is to play for the music and support it(differs...

Re: Incredible funk/fusion chops and licks in simple R&B Songs

As long as you keep the pocket, you can more or less do what you want if you don't step over everyone else's feet

Re: Dennis telling you what's up .....LISTEN !!!

Hey me too! A bit miffed that Dennis didn't make it, but I'm perhaps one of the worlds biggest Novak fans so I'll have to make due.

Yeah, supposedly one of the best. Don't remember what it's called, but you have to be good to get in.

Re: "Spice up your life" :)

If things go my way, I'll probably study in Wales in about 2 years time, so maybe we can hang out then? Or maybe I'll visit Britain again some time.

Re: Drummers that can't tune drums.

Re: Upcoming Concerts You Will Be Attending

Gonna watch HBC in a month. Scott Henderson, Jeff Berlin and Dennis Chambers at a small'ish venue. I'm probably gonna scream like a 14 year old fan-girl at a Bieber concert.
