Just to clarify: The drummer on almost all of the Carpenters' studio tracks was the great Hal Blaine.

There are many clips on a YouTube of Karen playing live in which she showed her drumming...

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried putting a gloss or semi-gloss coating on the Signet drums. I think the Ebony finish, for example, might perk up quite nicely.

I have heard them on store display...

The lugs on the kick are spaced further away from the hoop compared to my Sonor Phonic, Phonic Plus or Performer kicks. The extra holes are also curious. A photo of the kick bearing edge and interior...

Even though the snare in the pic has RC style lugs I don't think it was part of the RC line. The RC snares had "box" type lugs. This may have been one of the concert series snares even though the...
