Dw steel vs stainless steel

How can I tell the difference between a dw steel snare and stainless steel snare? I bought one used and can't tell if I have one or the other.

I think I know what I heard. I think Tama both glued and screwed the Tom mount brackets to the top of the bass drum. I unscrewed the Tom mount on the shell to try to remove it to see underneath it...

no its not the sliding tom mount. its the newer tom mount system that they dont drill the large hole in the shell. the tom mount is only attached to the shell with 4 screws. i didnt know that when i...

Yeah they have the redish bubinga inner plys. The toms sound great. Wonderful projection.


Just concerned about the bass drum. I checked the inside ply and saw no cracks. I unscrewed the plate...

I was leaning toward the classic maple because of Jason Mcgerr's MD festival performance. His silver sparkle kit sounded really nice. I don't think these were the legacys because they weren't out yet...
