Re: How do you feel about lug gaskets?

I am always amazed by things that just show up in the drum world. Like why is a bass drum now a kick drum? Did Elvin say kick drum? Did Bonham ?
I own 60's Rogers and 60's Gretsch . I call...

Re: It's Official - Vinnie no longer with Ludwig

I wonder what's with Ludwig these days. If they were this asleep at the snare in 1964, Ringo would have played Rogers on The Ed Sullivan Show. I heard that they jerked Vinnie around and reneged on...

Re: Going with a 20 inch kick now

Like any drum, it's all in the tuning.
A 20" is a good all around bass drum. ( can we not call it a kick drum). I play a Rogers 20, wide open with most of the front head cut out. It's great for...

Re: Keep my Roger's kit or sell it?

The heads are Rogers. But the rest of the stuff..not like any Rogers hardware I have ever seen. Or the finish. I know that Yamaha tried ( I think in vain ) to launch a Rogers line at NAMM a few years...

New Drumset

I'm about to join a band about 15 miles from where I live. Bottom line is that this will require that my drums are parked. Either at their rehearsal space or at a club. I have two 60's sets that I...
