Anyone I've met with a custom made kit or snare hasn't owned enough "other" drums to warrant the need for a custom drum. Wouldn't you need the experience and ear to know what you want?? You'd think.

I have a Rogers Dynasonic, which uses basically the same principle where the snare tension is controlled horizontally then vertically with the throw off. I find that you get a crisper sound with MUCH...
