Re: Are All Snare Drums Created Equal?

I'd say you'd be hearing differences in the drumheads and the snare wires, which would present way more inconsistencies than 10 metal drum shell's of same.

The thing to do would be undress the 10...

Re: I'm sorry if I've let anyone down

Re: I'm sorry if I've let anyone down

The frumpy drumheads, the port, you're still OK, if and when you buy a ROLAND SuperNATURAL-powered TD-30KV V-Pro electric kit and a JBL SRX15 and use them on your live gigs exclusively, that's when...

Re: A Few Simple Tips (tuning and transport)

Bag- A bags in a bag carry might work in some situations, but me not going to be stuffing and destuffing bags twice, I prefer a foldable hand truck.

Re: DW, the Scientology of drum companies?

The 20% of the population eating at McDonalds stat was pulled from my memory of hearing about it the the 80's. Maybe not current as ppl are becoming more aware of what they compose their bodies of....

Re: Oh No, Not another Bearing Edge.

Oh sustain yourself already Larry.

And do you 'really' want this edge profile (isn't what you have good enough), or are you just looking to impress your drummer guy friends, and get all the women...

Re: Oh No, Not another Bearing Edge.

Idealistically ...but not forever, and certainly not in every playing situation.

The 30 second note is not going to work for every musical situation and I'd want my $10K GURU set to be in every...

Re: Oh no! Not another new bearing edge :(

Which begs the question: What is the GURU approved method of head dampening should Mr and Ms Sound is Subjective consumer wish to quell such a long note?

I don't think GURU offers internal tone...

Professor Good doesn't need to establish the reason why he feels his process and design is superior, its just his opinion. What he has established tho is he does know drum making, he's established he...
