I would agree with MOON, that Pat Petrillos "HANDS GROOVES & FILLS" is awesome, because it has a DVD AND book, so, read what he plays, then watch him orchestrate it..16ths, sextuplets, six stroke...

Cool...Glad you got what you needed..

not sure how you can tell it's heavy from a video..but...FWIW, it's the same size as as my Real feel, but is actually lighter by a little..the 2 middle pads...

Dude, you should have ordered the Petrillo P4 by Ludwig, It's got a real soft /quite surface, PLUS 3 others as well! It's the only pad I use now, the others aren;t as versatile. It's worth the...

I have met a few at clinics. Gavin Harrison, Gregg Bissonette, Mike Mangini, Pat Petrillo, Simon Phillips..all were very kind and cool guys.

I did BRIEFLY shake the hand of Dennis Chambers once...

JPW..Not sure if you have Pat Petrillo's DVD, but he says the same thing about Moeller. In a clinic I saw him at, he said something like "Moeller is a man, not a technique"...great stuff

Interesting thread..I have Jo Jo and Pat Petrillo. Pat's is very different, whereby he does actual combinations of rudiments into "mini solo" type of things, which Jo Jo does not do, which I find...

Ricks books have TONS of grooves..I really got alot of use from the patterns, they opened me up to new thoughts

I also got Pat Petrillo's Hands, grooves, & Fills" and although they seemed "easier"...

For $50 you coulda got the P4, which I use all the time now. 4 pads on 3 levels. Pat Petrillo designed it. It's so worth it. Don't even use the HQ anymore..
