Learning to play piano soon

well it all comes down to opinion i'd say.

cause i think you could start drums when your 5 years old and only practice say an hour and a half each day. in other words i think getting an early jump...

i don't think you need to spend hours behind the kit every day to be great. and even if you did i don't see how i could do it when i have school and homework i also have to take care of.

haha thats a shame. nearly every one of the 9 drummers that competed in my city last night were great. one of the judges is my teacher and he said it was really really tough to decide two people.

i did in arlington. its probably not even over yet in some states cause of time differences but anyway, it was definately cool to watch and i plan on competing in it next year.

i would start with a single pedal. i didn't start using a double pedal until a year or two into my playing and i'm glad because i think starting out with a single pedal helped me later in the sense...

well my opinion is that if you're a drummer that hardly ever uses fills or anything like that but you keep solid time then you're already a really good drummer.

i'm not a teacher, but i do have one. and he usually doesn't show up with a set lesson plan.

he usually shows up and just asks me "what do you want to get better at?" and i might say rudiments or...
