Re: "too Busy"

Re: Albums that had a huge impact on your current playing?

UFO's Strangers in the Night.
Andy Parker's drumming on that live masterpiece takes him through all the styles and dynamics while perfectly adding to the MUSIC. 100% solid.

Re: Drumming leading to eviction

I've seriously considered renting an indoor storage unit near my work for practicing. I'd need an indoor, climate controlled place because I'm in Michigan..!

Re: Nicko mcbrain

You can't not love Nicko!
Love his playing, and humour. Seems like a genuinely good man. His kits are always spectacular. His cymbals are to die for. His right foot is excellent and his ride...

Re: To rack or not to rack?

I'm with Ben..

I have (1) DW 9000 that holds 2 toms & my 3 smallest cymbals, and (1) Gibraltar that holds the 3 big cymbals. Even with 2 floor toms, just 2 stands is very unobtrusive.

Re: Possible to use Pearl Opti-Mount with other tom brackets?

Currently, I have the standard Ddrum 4-tension rod suspension mounts on my 10 & 12 (like RIMS), and a Gibraltar universal on my 13. I cannot find a 13 Ddrum mount to match the others! I am also...

Re: Possible to use Pearl Opti-Mount with other tom brackets?

Possible to use Pearl Opti-Mount with other tom brackets?

I'd like to give them a try, but don't want to convert everything over to the tube style rods. All I'd need is to replace the Pearl tom brackets on the Opti-Mounts with something that accepts an...

Re: Dave Abbruzzese

Agree 100%.
Very fine drummer, and a swell guy.
Way back in early internet times, I had the pleasure of chatting with him. He sent me a cassette tape (!) of his post-PJ project "Green Romance...

Re: Best way to dust the drum kit..?

Will that get under the tension rods? Or, will a feather duster get in in there?

Best way to dust the drum kit..?

I have black, lacquer finish shells, which show dust a lot. What is the best product or technique for dusting those things? Do you keep the shells dusted, or do you not bother?

Thanks

Re: Proper way to list drum sizes

I prefer Diameter x Depth. I just wish people would use a symbol!! That would clear up confusion.

The very first one was "It's a long way to the top.." By AC/DC. Then after a long layoff while becoming a grown-up, it was "Better Man" By Pearl Jam..
