Re: stick tricks

I usually try to throw(haha) in a stick toss with my left while playing 2's and 4's. Either that or a twirl (real one). Not too difficult and it certainly ups the atmosphere.

Re: Have Jeff queens solos been transcribed

Well, the Down fall of Paris I'm not too sure about but Tribute is transcribed in his book "The Next Level". Check that out, the book is also a great complement to the dvd since it has many...

Re: building speed

I say that practising on pillows is the thing to do if you know you're going to play on hard surfaces, say in a military marching band, or just want everyone to really hear every single stroke, in a...

Re: Travis Barker

My opinion of travis is that his strong sides are
1. putting up a good show (you can tell he likes to drum) and
2. he is perfect for his type of music.
His technique is not the best, he could...

Re: Music Reading

I'm pretty good at reading snare drum parts (marching stuff, y'know) but I haven't practised drum set parts too much. I know how to play simple beats with hh, snare and bdrum but when it comes to...

Left-handed kit drummer

Hey there, drumming friends.

I saw this video of a left-handed drummer playing on a left-handed kit and I thought that was pretty cool since there aren't too many lefties who actually play on a...

Hold the inside of your...

Re: Is it ok if I don't the hand cross thing?

something i've wondered for a while, if you were a right handed player(which i am) and you want to be able to play open-handed, would an option be to place you hi hat and ride on your right? almost...
