Eighth Note Triplets vs Eighth Note Cymbal Pattern

I've been messing around with playing eighth note triplets against an eighth note cymbal pattern. I know it sounds bizarre at first, but I like it and it sounds unique.

I made a worksheet to...

Re: Gary Chaffee PATTERNS: Your experiences and suggestions

I have spent some significant time on the Chaffee material.

I believe you need to be careful with your approach--- if you try to become a completist you may wind up wasting some valuable time. ...

New Play-Alongs?

Hey Everyone --
Does anyone have any recommendations for new play-alongs that are challenging and allow some drum soloing?

Re: A REVELATION.

I remember that Tony video too and I agree with everything he says. I also have been following what the prominent players have been doing with their grips (switching to matched).

Lately, I've...

Re: Making the most out of limited practice time

I've had several periods in my life when I was able to practice crazy amounts. However, when my time was more limited, I would do what I dubbed "micro practice," meaning I would practice just one...

Re: Using Left Foot Hi-Hat, Does It Help Improve Time?
