Re: Tips on keeping time while playing with a band!

When you say to keep time with a metronome live, how do you generally do it? It seems kinda crazy to crank the volume loud enough to hear throughout the song, and I've never seen a drummer wearing...

Re: choice? mapex saturn vs, tama starclassic b/b

Mapex Saturn! Really, best value on the market. The walnut inner plies add a bottom end that is amazing.

Re: Best sounding 5 piece kit for 1500 bucks

Mapex Saturns are the best, most unique-sounding drums for $1500 in my opinion

Re: Double stroke roll practice?

Hey Bill,

Thanks for that advice, but I'm not entirely sure what you mean in your second paragraph. When you say second stroke, do you mean the rebound off of your first stroke?

Re: Double stroke roll practice?

What do you guys find most helpful in developing a second stroke as loud as the first? Do you do the push-pull thing, or do you just use your fingers to push the second stroke down harder or what? ...

Hey guys,

I've got a brass snare that has a fairly large dent in it. Is there a fairly safe way to fix it? Or will trying to bend it back into place cause more problems?

Have any of you had...

Re: Unix Drums

I tried PM and it didn't work either. Or at least, I got no reply.

I guess I should also mention that I'm not sure what kind of wood would be best for a dark, dry, jazzy tone. I'm not familiar...

I'm really thinking about getting a Unix kit in jazz sizes - 18x14, 10x8, 12x9, 14x12.

I tried to email François, but his email address on the site wasn't working. I was just trying...

Hey,

I'm looking for an 8" 4-lug RIMS mount and a 15" and 18" floor tom mount, if anyone has them. I'd prefer that they are the older chrome version if possible.

If you know anyone who has...

Re: Help me identify these Premier Drums

Hey,

Thanks for the reply!! How can you tell they are Genistas? The lugs look different, but I'm not sure what that means.

Thanks in advance for your help

So I am interested in buying a drumset from someone, and they gave me these pictures. They know that they are the Premier line of drums, but they don't know which model - ie, Signia, XPK,...
