Re: josh freese playing for paramore

Josh and Zac left because they weren't happy anymore. It turns out ever since their formation Haley was the only one ever signed. In fact they were "brought up" appearing as a small band on an...

Re: Decreased time on the kit, increased time on pads/pillow

Hey man, I've been in similar situations and yes it's very difficult to tell what's best. I too feel like I've gotten worse over the past 2-3 years when I was in a hardworking band due to my drums...

Re: Shine Snare Drum

Shine lists a 14" snare on their website at $624. Pretty expensive but I do know they give out discounts pretty easily as long as you're in a band, few of my friends in local bands have gotten...

Re: In-Ear bass response

Well yes I was using them originally for live, the band I was in at the time ran tracks/clicks so they did work great for that. But yeah for practicing maybe not so much. Thanks for the input.

Re: In-Ear bass response

Yes, after first getting tinnitus I became pretty afraid of losing anymore hearing so I spent the money and got some custom molds. I mean they do work perfectly for protecting my ears I just can't...

In-Ear bass response

Hey everybody. I recently bought a pair of Ultimate Ear 5 custom in ears just for practicing since tinnitus is finally catching up to my hearing. Anyway they fit and sound great but the only...

Re: Problem with vic firth headphones

I'm pretty confused by your responses. I can hear the drums fine and they are isolated very well but the level of volume I need the music to be at still leads to my ears hurting. It may seem that...

Problem with vic firth headphones

Alright well I've been through a lot of headphones and lately I've tried using the vic firth SIH1 headphones and they do isolate pretty well but I've still noticed that after playing for about 20...

Re: Touring

Yeah hotels are good but we might just sleep in the van some of the nights though since we all don't have much money. I don't work that much so I got to start saving soon.

Re: Touring

Thanks a lot for the advice guys! I will definitely make a list and be sure to have all my necessities on it. I'm probably the most organized in the band so it'll be up to me to have all the...

Touring

Hey all!
In about a month I'm going to depart for approx. 2 weeks with my band for a tour in the northeastern region of the states. Besides doing a few out of state shows/2-3 day "minitours," I have...

Re: $1000 to spend - What kit am I after?

I got a Sonor 3007 6 piece for $950 and its amazing. Although it didn't come with hardware I'd definitely recommend it. Awesome drums dude.

Re: Set up/Breakdown

It's a love/hate relationship for me. If I'm at a gig and have plenty of time to setup I'll enjoy it since I'm excited to play. But I HATE being rushed to set things up, it leads to me forgetting to...
