The Yamaha 740 was my first Hi Hat stand as a kid. I owned it for about 12 years.

Just last year I got an 840, it's the same but double braced.
It's my primary Hi Hat stand now, though I just...

Re: Facebook-only gear companies

I wasn't aware any companies existed with only a facebook page.

I think any serious company should have both. They need the dot com address first, and then also need facebook, twitter, you tube...

Re: Yamaha Japanese made drums

I'd like to step in here as a proud Yamaha Artist.

I had a lot of the same concerns about the China thing when I first found out they started making drums there. I thought "China!? Oh no!!!"

I haven't heard of this exact situation happening before, but stranger things have happened.
The music industry isn't like any other, and a some of it is based on vanity. I know people who were...

I have a Yamaha Recording Custom in Cobalt Blue, it's a little brighter shade than I would like, but it's really grown on me. I love my blue drums! :)

But... It was a backline kit with shitty old used heads. I think that combined with the mic on the camera gave it that...

Re: Showmanship

Musicians are entertainers.

Keep the flashy stuff in check, (stick twirls don't always go over at a a Jazz gig) but you...

I have been using my kit live and...
