Re: Review of new 7x14 edge snare drum

Playing DW Collectors here in natural satin with a 70's Supraphonic!... Fat tom and kick sound with that Ludwig bite/warmth in a alloy shell.

CD got pics of the new kit?

Re: PROTECT YOUR EARS - ear plugs, hearing loss, deafness

Sorry if i missed this...But is there a company out there that makes a In-ear device with a belt clip microphone set up???

Basic ear plugs just ruin the dynamics IMO... It would be nice to be able...

Alternative May Mic System?

Hi Fellaz,

Does anyone know if a alternative (read less expensive) interior mic system for drums exists? And while on the subject...If the mics are left in the heads for an extended period of time...

Re: how to make your own internal mic system.

Nutha,

Does it matter if the mic mount isn't isolated from the shell, i.e. like the May System is
with a gasket or whatever?

Re: LUDWIG 3 ply kit anyone?

Gotta Love the Silver Sparkles!

That or a Natural Maple...But I'm guessing they go for a premium.

What's the attraction for the Keystone badges...other than older 60's era?

Drums and Smoke?

Cigarette smoke that is...Is this really a problem and can it be cleaned off? You see sets advertised on Ebay, "smoke free" I can understand with electronics...but drums???

Re: New Ludwig Legacy 3-ply kits!

I was noticing the size of the "R" rings compared to my DW's... they're MASSIVELY THICK! gotta cut down on the resonance.

Wonder what the edges are cut at?

New Ludwig Legacy 3-ply kits!

Anyone played one yet?

Man they look sweet ...hopefully sound the same, "R" Rings and all. A few more colors would be great too.

Re: DW kick 16" or 18" deep ?

Yeah O.K.

22" x 16" vs 22" x 18"

Maple

What ever thickness most popular in DW collectors.

Thx

Hi All,

Can those who own DW's comment on the sound of these two kick's is it a big difference in low end sound, 16" vs. 18" deep?

Thanks Much!
