I have the same kit from 1976 but in blue. Mine is coupled with a 60s Dynasonic.

I can't believe it! I came here for the Rogers topic and incidentally my new kit which temporarily replaced my Rogers kit (not selling it at all anyway) is a Mapex Saturn Will Calhoun Signature.

It just occurred to me how great would it be to have drum companies actually record in HQ sound files of the sets they show on their sites.

Both drums are similar in "tembre" - the general characteristics of the sound, the colour of the sound - and quite understandably, due to the similar construction. The 13" however has more volume...
