Just bought myself a 5 piece Yamaha Rock Tour kit in textured green, Axis X longboard left-footed double pedals, and Sabian AAX cymbals.

Re: Ladies DrummerWorld Drummers?

You know, when I first started playing the drums, I did it because it was something new to try out. I never saw any wrong with a girl playing the drums (or even guitar), I'd always been considered...

Re: Sonor Force 3007

Sonor makes great kits actually.

The reason why many rock drummers rarely are seen on Sonor is because of all the companies such as Pearl and DW are taking things to the next level.

Re: Ludwig T-Rods on Bassdrum

I've got T-rods on my Mapex Mars Pro, no problems so far since recently purchasing it, much better than tuning with a key.

I'd imagine looking for vintage cases made for drums with t-rods.

Re: how drum kits have changed over time for dif styles ect.

I know a definate change occured from the 80's to the 90's.

The kits were gigantic with 4-6 toms mounted, 2 basses, and 2 floors.
I wish kits were still like that.

They sound much better than my first kit that's for sure, I tuned them extremely low pitched to give a punch sound, and the bass is just perfect.

Actually I have played them, and they are nice, really nice. But seeing as most people cannot afford custom drums like OCCP and Truth, it's easier to go with someone like Mapex.

Re: Refinishing Question

Staining the drums would give a real nice look, I'm not much of a big fan on silver, it tends to be too busy for me.

The M Birch shells DO sound amazing even without mics, especially with Evans or Aquarian heads. I do believe it's easier to find sets in bigger companies, except for Guitar Center.
