Re: Preparing for Cruise Ships. Some advice?

Hi, and welcome to the forum! Please don't worry about your English. From what I saw in your post, you speak it better than a lot of natives do around here! ;-)

That didn't happen in a dream, it happened while he was wide awake. ;-)

Re: Drum spacing issues.

Re: Major Personal Milestone Achieved

You're not hitting incorrectly and hard enough. Use some bad technique, and you'll do it more often. ;-)

Re: Talking to the doctors now....

Well Bo, I'm 52 and I'm moving my kit twice a week. The biggest pain (no pun intended) is loading my hardware into the back of my truck. I'm only moving it about 40 - 50 feet, but it puts wear and...

Re: How do I know if I will stick with drums? Advice please.

Like they say, honesty is the best policy. Be honest and upfront with the party that gave you the other equipment. Let them know how much you appreciate everything they have done for you. Next,...

Re: HELP: trying to find perfect kit

If you want to sound like Richard Hell from the Ramones, get any drum set. 22x18 Bass, 13x10 Tom, 16x16 Floor tom with Remo Black Dot batter heads with NO resonant head on any drum - except the...

Re: 10 lug bowties on a Supra?

Re: How do I know if I will stick with drums? Advice please.

I agree with Madge. If you want to play music and the drums interest you, get something inexpensive (as opposed to cheap) and give it a go.

By the way, people sell used or "previously owned" gear...

Re: Drumming in the pre digital age.

I've only been drumming during the digital age (on an actual kit, anyway), but I tend to take a very analogical approach to it. Like, yes, I do use the internet when it come to drumming, but just...

Re: Bid like a man!

I won two great snares (my Supraphonic & my Acrolite) on Ebay and I got them both for a substantially lower price than everything else listed at the time. Both snares look brand new in fact.

Re: HELP! I need a good inexpensive snare fast!

I think that you will get some serious arguments to the contrary around here. But to each his own... even if it's wrong.

Re: HELP! I need a good inexpensive snare fast!

Those are pretty strong words from someone who's completely wrong. Do your homework.

Acrolites are not steel pieces of junk from China. They're aluminum spun shells from the U.S.A. and they're...

Re: Gig etiquette pet peeves!

That's not Harpo, it's Sterling Holloway. He's standing next to Mike Connors (Mannix). Holloway was a character actor from the 50's & 60's. He's most notably know for being the voice of Winnie the...

Re: Intersting article on Beats Headphones

I bought a pair of Tascam headphones from Musicians Friend on their Stupid Deal of the Day for $15.00 a few weeks ago, and to me they sound great! I can't afford to lay out $200 for headphones, so...
