every time i use my nylon rods i use trad grip. it more comfortable to me, except that a wooden stick sometimes feels stiff and hard to control in trad. the nylon brushes are flexy and forgiving....

AGREED. ive like some stuff from muse... (knights of cydonia has one nasty f'ing riff in it.) but radiohead has depth and seems like a band full of adults in comparison.

remember when doing a deeper rimshot like those, its not the tip of the stick thats making the most contact w the head. its the shoulder and tapered parts of the stick. its why you can get more...

with a cocktail kit, one foot (HH foot) is usually in charge of standing. no thrones here.. you could try a dualist type pedal.

edit: removing hardware? it would not be any harder than any other...
