Re: Beginner (Fun) songs?

Pretty much anything by AC/DC is a good place to start. Once you learn one song by them the rest are easy to pick up and you can go from there.

Re: Is switching bass drum sizes difficult?

I've been playing since I was 5 years old. I'm 20 now. The first 13 years I played I used 22 kick with 12,13, 14 or 10,12,14 toms. Then I had to sell all of my gear to pay some bills and I wound up...

Re: most important

You bring up a very good point. You need shells, hardware, sticks and most importantly a drummer that has the ability to play them well.

Re: most important

This isn't such a simple question. First you need a drummer. A throne can be optional. Next you need sticks to hit the drums with. But with out heads the drums are useless. So I'm going to go with...

Re: Is It Legal To Play Drums In The Middle Of The Night?

Unless you live in the middle of nowhere and aren't pissing off the people in your own household I don't see a problem with it but that's not the case with you. You have neighbors and you have to...

Re: Justin Bieber's Drumming...

First off I will say that I'm not a Justin Bieber fan at all. The teens of today like what he is doing. I see it as the same thing that happened when The Beatles came to America. The older generation...

Re: Barefoot? Or with Shoes? how do you play?

Lately I've been playing with just socks on. My kick work feels more accurate, But at the same time I feel I loose a lot of power on each stroke.

Re: Has anyone bought pro endorsed products or want their set-up?

I used to have a set of Paiste 2oo2 crashes....The same set up as Bonham. When i went cymbal shopping I looked at artist profiles to see what mixed and what didn't. I purchased them because I loved...

Re: Anyone else 'reset' their drums a lot?

Re: If you could only have a 4-piece cymbal setup, what would it be?

2002 or Signature Hats- Whichever I could find the cheapest
19 Signature Full Crash- The most amazing cymbal I've ever heard.
18 or 16 Signature Power Crash
21 Signature Dry Heavy Ride- The best...

Re: Can someone recommend me a camera for recording drums?

Do you have any videos using this camera. I usually plug one mic into my computer and use the voice recorder since I don't have a mixer and then I mute the video and over lay the audio in windows...

Re: Playing exactly...

I agree with you. Some stuff comes off better live as opposed to the studio version. I just get annoyed when playing along to the studio version sometimes. What I play may be in time but I can still...

Re: If you could Have Lessons Fron Any Professional Drummer Who Would It Be?

I would love to take lessons with Jason Bittner. It's actually very possible to do this. He offers lessons before most shows when he is no tour. I would be too intimidated and embarrassed to take...

I'm not down with the whole inlay deal. But I do like the finishes individually. I also like your set up.

Re: Quick tom tuning

If I'm re-heading the whole kit I will put the head on finger tight on both sides. Go around a quarter turn, press down and look for wrinkles. While pressing down I go around the drum and turn until...

Re: Audition tomorrow at 6PM PST

I'm sure that you will get the gig. From what I've seen of your playing you are a very good drummer. I think that any band would be happy to have you sitting behind the kit.

Re: Team mates buy soccer star 5,000 drum kit

Yeah well those guys make some nice coin. So I'm sure they didn't have to scrape all of their life savings to get him the kit. It's a nice gesture though .

Re: Just One

That's a tough one. I think it would get boring listening to the same stuff over and over. I would have to go with Eric Singer. I love his playing.
