Re: Does anybody remember Jeff Indyke?

He's not a good player or teacher, but you have to admire his courage to be himself and to keep his thing...

Re: Why we have to record ourselves?

Re: Band at the wrong gig :(

A live music expert, eh? Did you ask for credentials? An 'expert' rating has to come with some sort of identification card or something!

The bar manager sounds annoying as hell, you're a bigger...

Re: Styles I listen to, styles I play to

Sounds like the music you like to play to is dance oriented music, the music you like to listen to is listening oriented music. The reason most average non-drummers like to listen to or see funk /...

Re: Why we have to record ourselves?

Thanks man!! The bass player and I started the band together about 3 years ago in an effort to have as much fun with music as possible. He and I have shaped our sound together.

If you can't hear...

Re: Why we have to record ourselves?

Great topic. I became obsessed with recording my own shows years and years ago and it inspired my choice to go to sound-engineering school. Now, my band employs a full time sound engineer to...

Re: Hecklers

My band plays a weird combination of funk / jazz / dance music and we travel quite a bit around the midwest, playing in new bars & clubs, sometimes not knowing what we were getting into. Our music is...

Re: the advantage of playing many kits

I play on many different setups regularly. I don't believe a setup dictates my playing. It's a good exersize to switch it up. Make sure you're thinking while you're playing.

Now about finding...

Re: Greetings! I'm new, so this is my introduction (video & recordings)

Hey thanks man. Transitions are so fun when you nail them as a group. The more we play the better we get at them.
