I agree with tony et al. It is everyone job to play in time. I personally hate having to keep time while the singer pkays the drumless intro ...but need my hi hat clicking away to keep them all...

Problem is this latest band is from london and is coming up to scotland for a tour. No rehearsals so they are also kind of going in blind.

Hi bondtata, on a forum is a great way to do it.

Also looking online by searching online session drummer does throw up loads of guys. We all offer something slighty different. Theres someone out...

I get where you are coming from Haake but I think that it is an Edinburgh thing.

Edinburgh doesn't have the same vibe and lust for live music as Glasgow for instance....or more people want to go...

hi guys, i did a session for an artist recently and they wanted it in MIDI instead of audio.

MIDI drum tracks is something I offer on my website but have never had to do it as artists usually want...

I think from quickly listening. i think it is 2 bars of 7/8 - one 4/4 (8/8) - 2 bars of 7/8 and then a 3/8.

Happy to be proved wrong though.

Good point regarding kids blazing - which I can do if required.

As this year progresses I'm going to be trying and get more and more live/studio/clinic videos which I think are definately less...

Mikes lessons is the best in my opinion. Though others are good too.

Nope everyone finds it tricky but it is the best thing you can do to stop you losing time and really knowing the stuff you are playing.

for me and what i say to students is it removes the guess...

They are around the same age (think they share the same birthday) and would challenge each other to do silly things like play as fast as you can...
